Friday, February 17th will feature an evening training class for those who wish to sharpen their guitar skills to be used in a worship celebration setting.  The "Rhythm Guitar Master Class" will help teach the fundamentals and skills for playing along with a worship band. This class requires basic knowledge of guitar chords.   Saturday, February 18th will feature an all-day training for the full worship team--from vocalists, to drama, to sound techs. Jeff Merry will address issues pertaining to a vision for worship, how to prepare, and why we do what we do, ending in a practical application as we apply the teachings during a rehearsal setting. Sunday morning, Jeff will be leading the worship celebration!

The training is open to all-- if you are currently involved in the worship celebration, or would like to be involved.

Mark the dates for the WorshipNet Worship Team Tune-up, and if you want to attend, contact Will Armstrong at 260.745.4994 for more information.

If you would like to schedule your own Worship Team Tune-up in your own church, contact Jeff Merry 602.451.4285. WorshipNet training is available throughout the United States!

Dear Arizona Worship Leaders

Which has it been for you this year?

“Oh give thanks to the Lord for His loving kindness is everlasting.”
“The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.”
"My eyes fail because of tears, my spirit is greatly troubled."

“O Lord, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me. Many are saying of my soul, there is no deliverance for him in God.”
“O Lord, in You alone will I put my trust.”

Some of you are feeling good about your ministry and have experienced tremendous grace.
Some of you have seen exciting advancements in music, technology, and the church's worship environment.
For some 2011 has not been an easy year and you may be saying “Put 2011 in the books, lock it up and throw away the key!”

Whatever you have faced this year, know this; “The Lord is crazy about you, and there is nothing you can do to change His mind!”

If there is anything the Lord delights in it is a heart filled with the presence of Jesus. You provide opportunities every week for people to experience the very presence of the Lord. Remember what God said to Samuel when He picked David to be anointed over his brothers, “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”  God is looking for those who will worship Him in their hearts. Sometimes people in our ministry don’t see what the Lord sees.

Our job is to stay so connected to the Lord that when we pick songs, visuals, and everything that enhances the worship environment, we are not surprised when people say off-the-wall comments.

I am praying for you through this season. I know the challenges of creativity, tradition, and long hours. Let’s all trust in the everlasting God to renew our strength, vision, and joy, and to lift us up on wings like eagles so that we can see a glimpse of what He sees, His Kingdom in full glory.

Blessings to you and your family, and Merry Christmas!

Your Brother in Christ,

Jeff
